FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN BOSNIAN PEOPLE AND AMERICAN JEWS BROTHERS FOREVER

Bosnia and Herzegovina beyond the scope of its borders is being held firmly nowadays only in the grip of the United States. The politics of European diplomacy towards Bosnia since the nineties and it’s declaration of independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina has in itself nothing honest and principled. As then, so today, Europe does not know what to do with this country.

Or maybe it’s better to say that it knows very well: by doing nothing in particular, it leaves it getting weaker every day, slowly disappearing which at the bottom line definitely leads to it gently blending into neighboring countries which, after have shown their aspirations towards Bosnia by destroying it since the nineties pretty openly by force, atrocities and genocide. However, America was and still remained that great friend of this country that continues to protect the Bosnian- Herzegovinian citizens, their country, its integrity and sovereignty.

What is more or less unknown in our public is the fact that behind this attitude of this leading world power to B&H are mainly American Jews. So, just as American Jews, through their representatives in politics, economy, through appearances of senators and representatives in the U.S. Congress in the nineties but today as well a great battle for the survival of the state of B&H was led. They do it today and thus towards the rest of the world or to the politics EU, unequivocally and clearly letting others know that B&H must be conserved and preserved. What has linked Bosnian people and American Jews? The answer is that the victim understands the victims best and the symbolism of the suffering of the Jewish and Bosnian people: the Holocaust and the Genocide. Why American Jews? And the answer is very clear: after the Holocaust in World War II, which were committed by the Nazis against the Jews it is in America that the Jewish nation has concentrated most of those people who would later become strong and powerful in every sense.

In this their commitment to express the sensibility and sense of understanding towards people who survived the horrors of similar calamities in the genocide, American Jews just decided to provide its assistance and support to the Bosnian people. Jews and Bosnian Muslims (primarily) share a common historical bond. At the beginning of the Inquisition in the 15th century many Jews found their new homeland in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Together they suffered under Nazi occupation during the Second World War and 50 years later against Bosnian Muslims (Bosniaks) the Genocide, the first in Europe since the Holocaust.

From Spain to Bosnia and Herzegovina made it Haggadah written in Hebrew in the 15th century. Standing next to each other, synagogues and mosques and so reminiscent of peaceful coexistence, which for centuries Jews and Muslims have been testifying. Precisely these are the historical facts that are praised and cherished there where the Jewish people are the strongest and most organized: not in Israel, but in the United States. This fact that the relationship of American Jews and the Bosnian-Herzegovinian people can be called fraternal is supported by the fact that the associations in the United States, which count over 200,000 Bosniaks have excellent relations with the American Jews.

Jewish Council on Urban Affairs in the U.S. is very active in building long-term, deep and sustainable relationship between the Jewish and Muslim communities. These connections help eliminate barriers such as intolerance and lack of understanding and develop mutual respect. It is no longer just a friendly relationship, it rather develops to a fraternal one, as indeed of the 15th century until today, as we have already highlighted the historical ties that exist between the two nations. After so much time, it becomes a brotherly bond. Christopher Hitchens, writer and journalist who died in December 2011, has perhaps in the best way described the guideline that defines the commitment of American Jews and their attitude. – When you get away from religious persecution and do not want to it repeated, it thus represent a deeply engraved memories. Jews were rapidly secularized.

American Jews are now probably the most secular forces on the planet, as a collective. If they are a collective – which actually they are not, said Hitchens. It is in this assertion and this assessment might be best way to anticipate the strongest connection between American Jews and our people in B&H. This bond guarantees that the intentions of those who want to destroy and disperse B&H will not be able to just come true. Better said, this cannot be. Unfortunately, for them.
